Responsive Design, Midterm + Life

This week has been a definitely been a long one for me. Work has restarted and I have been in the process of moving across town into a new house when all of my major projects were due. It’s been a nightmare trying to juggle it all, but I’m slowly getting back into it again.

Midterm and Responsive Design

This week was a doozie! A lot of learning, re-editing and, editing, and editing again – looking at the microsites, re-looking at the microsites! Midterms, half way through this semester! What a whirlwind of a learning curve.

Learning Responsive design

Well these last few weeks have been pretty fun, I am really enjoying our midterm project. That may be because it only focuses on the design aspect and not the technical aspect of actually coding it! lol

Well this mid-term project threw me for a loop for sure. I was so happy to get some peer reviews that were helpful along the way.

wk 6: Getting familiar with XD Design

It’s been another big week and I can feel my brain swelling as long as it doesn’t explode then it’s been a good week. This week we practiced laying out the design on different screen widths. I decided to try out Adobe XD.

Weeks 5 & 6 – CSS Layout Challenges, Levels of Web Design, and more

The past couple of weeks have been really busy. I guess mid-semester always is at least a bit overwhelming.

Week 6, Midterm and Grids!

These weeks fly by! Packed with information, I feel like I’m in a complete package of hectic learning, working, eating, sleeping and repeat! This week we started learning CSS tags for creating grid layouts and began our midterm project.

All the New Subjects Start Now

Hello once again! I am just finishing week 6 of my semester, and wow, everything is starting to pick up around this time in these past 2 weeks that has already passed. I have had to finish around 2 big assignments in my AAD52 and AAD60 classes. Now my AAD86 is starting to pick up on the learning material now too. Having to juggle four different classes is starting to show its true colors.

Floats, Flexbox, and Grids, what weeks 5 & 6 taught me.

I felt like Dorothy these last two weeks, being swept up in a tornado of floats, flexbox, and grid challenges. Watching the instructional videos, and then working along with the videos, worked for the most part. But something went akimbo when trying to put what I learned to the challenges.

CSS Lay outs

During the last two weeks we learn about different CSS layouts and read a very interesting article by Rachel Andrew. According to article today we have real choice for approaching our designs. This article was a little bit overwhelming for me but it opens new doors of opportunity for better designs and more knowledge.

Weeks 5-6

I’ve learned a lot in the last 2 weeks and the assignments also got a little tougher.

Flexbox, Grids, and Floats

This week we started to learn more about different ways to layout a website using flexbox, css grid, and floats. I think all are useful in their own ways, but which do you prefer to use?

Mid-Way Already??

Crazy to think that we are already at a point to think of the mid-term! Last week was overwhelming for me and even though this week was the same workload I seem to have found a good balance. Thank goodness because it was a learning curve this week.

A greedy week

This week we learned about CSS grids and I really believe this is an exciting tool to work with. There are so many possibilities that are being open with grids. You can build a whole grid template and change the positioning of elements on different screen sizes by changing one property and it’s really cool.

Already Week Four!

We have been in school for a month now but it does not feel like it to me.

Almost One Month of School Already

Hello! I cannot believe that one month has already passed for school already. One month in, and I feel like I have already done so much. I am pretty sure that online classes make it seem like I have more work to do in general. The whole process of going through online classes is still a weird feeling even after a month. I think I will adjust overtime. It is a weird feeling of going through lectures whenever you want, having to learn what is taught yourself, and then doing the assignments just seems so different since I have been attending classes physically for the past 20+ years.
