Journey Through Italy

Emilia-Romagna

Emilia-Romagna is one of Europe's richest areas. Located south of the River Po in the north, its notables areas include Parma, known for Parmiggiano cheese (Parmesan) and Parma prosciutto and salami, and the capital Bologna.

Bologna

Europe's oldest university is located here. It's also where Bolognese sauce originated.
