Basilicata
Basilicata is one of southern Italy's great nature hubs. Nicknamed "Italy's Secret Garden", its main attractions are the Roman village of Matera, the ancient Greek ruins of the Ionian Coast and the castles of Emperor Frederick II of Swabia.
Potenza
Potenza has been Basilicata's capital since 1806. Its known for its Cathedral "il Duomo di San Gerardo" and many other medieval churches, and the Palazzo Loffredo.
