This seaside region is identified by its unique mountain ranges and rolling green hills. The Adriatic Sea borders the east of Abruzzo. It is located in the northern part of southern Italy.

Pescara is Abruzzo's capital and largest city. It's known for its huge beaches, importance as a major fishing port and numerous museums.
