One of Italy's most famous regions, its most famous feature is the ancient volcano Mt Vesuvius. The ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum (Ercolano) are always worth visiting, as are the coastal towns of Sorrento and Amalfi.

Naples is home to many churches, restaurants and nightclubs. It is also the birthplace of pizza and spaghetti.
