Jumping back into school after taking a 5 year break from learning anything new I reacclimatized myself quickly to the online platform. Although I have a some experience with HTML from my 9 to 5 I feel like relearning the basics and its helping me to deeper my understanding of the markup language I use on a daily basis.
The first week I began digging through Canvas relearning the platform as well as the syllabus because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t taking on more than I could chew. I typically do homework or lessons late at night since Im typically working throughout the day so I don’t leave myself a lot of spare time but I make due with whatever spare time I have. I learned to also read or view the modules throughout the week to make sure I’m not late turning in assignments. Week one I learned what is and what is not acceptable uses of AI this this course. Introduced myself and became aquatinted with my fellow classmates. Also we did a short exercise creating a future resume listing where we would like to be. I listed Nintendo and IGN both places Ive strived to work for since high school many years ago.
Week two we looked into the Mozilla Documentation Network learning about any facts or elements we were not familiar with. I found myself learning a lot browsing the site. We also marked up some HTML in Figma identifying different elements and tags. Figma is a program Ive always meant to learn so it was nice finally playing around with it. Same with this current post, I wanted to use Word Press for a long time just never got around to it.
