The importance and wonderful worlds of EShopping websites and the knowledge of backing them up. Two very important things I learned through the past weeks were the different types of EShopping websites, from our guest speaker Tirzah Johnson, and the repeating steps of backing up wordpress sites.
When Tirzah Johnson talked and demonstrated the EShopping websites she uses, she showed us Shopify and Woocommerce. Shopify being the EShopping platform that was made for those who like the use a premade template with company help. Woocommerce being the EShopping platform for those who like the create more for themselves and with less outside control. During her presentation she also helped us set up our own EShopping websites for both platforms and gave us the starting blocks for free.
Another thing that we learned that is and will be very important is how to back up and restore our websites. Its simple to do but has a lot of steps that have particular order to follow and route to go through. But once you remember the way to do it the only thing that gets in the way is waiting for it to upload and download.
