Continuing with HTML and Starting CSS and Fonts
Over the past two weeks, I have learned more about HTML, CSS, typography, and web design. One of my favorite topics was typography because I learned how different fonts, sizes, spacing, and styles can change the overall look of a webpage.
I learned how to create a typographic hierarchy by using CSS properties such as font-family, font-weight, and line-height. I also learned about kerning and line spacing and how these small details can make text easier to read and improve the overall design.
Another important part of this week’s learning was CSS selectors. I practiced using tag, class, and ID selectors to target different elements on a webpage. I am still getting used to combining selectors and understanding which one to use, but practicing has helped me understand CSS better. I like seeing the changes on my webpage right away when I change the CSS.
I also learned how important it is to keep my files organized and make sure my CSS and other files are connected correctly. This was a good reminder to check my work carefully before submitting it.
Overall, I feel like I have learned a lot in these past two weeks. I am becoming more comfortable with HTML and CSS, but I know there is still a lot more for me to learn and practice. I am happy with the progress I am making and look forward to improving my web design skills.
