Working with Flexbox and grids this week has been challenging but fun. Both layout options hold a lot of potential for website layouts, giving designers more power when it comes to creating visually intriguing and well organized websites.
Initially learning about grids, I thought they were going to be simple, yet I found them to be fairly challenging. The first challenges I was able to figure out without too much stress. The final challenge, however, I could not figure out. I tried moving things around to try to figure out where the issue was. Even after looking at the answer and triple-checking where I placed everything, I could not get it and I have been thinking about ever since. I can see how useful they can be though so I am determined to figure them out. Until then, I will utilize Flexbox.
Flexbox, on the other hand, appeared confusing when we first learned it in Professor Rishe’s class, but I find it intuitive. Learning even more of what can be done this past week has been even more fun. I was even able to complete the Bakery site challenge with only Flexbox. Imagine what can be done using them together!
