Hating on Papyrus font is like hating on Nickleback….
If you agree…or don’t…I would love to hear your thoughts on that in the reply.
My win this week was adding styling to my content page. I was pleasantly surprised at how it came together. I have been trying to learn the necessary skills to design websites for going on two years now. I have taken the other courses offered through the AAD program at Sierra College. It still seems like there is so much to learn, and I think that challenge is part of what draws me to it. There are HTML, CSS, CMS, Javascript, principals of design, color schemes, Typography, layout, SEO, WordPress themes…and so many other things to consider. This is all in addition to the actual subject matter of your website.
When I started working on styling the page’s content, I found that I knew how to do certain things without struggling to figure them out or having to look them up. I was able to use relative and absolute positioning, the z index, and understand the hierarchy of the elements. Seeing things work on the page as I created the code was so cool!
Sometimes, learning all the pieces of website design of website design is overwhelming. But when you know enough pieces, you can start putting together larger and larger parts of the puzzle, and that is what makes it worth it!
