This is just the beginning.
I’m not sure why, but it’s wild to think that we are already creating functioning websites. I think back to AAD85 quite often and think about how long it took to understand HTML and CSS and what they do. By this time in that class, I believe we were still trying to recognize the differences between IDs and classes. It was definitely a struggle, but I think it’s almost funny now.
I am proud of myself and the work I did this week. It was fun to create a portal page for my work. I am (I admit) taking some of the style choices I used for my AAD85 portal page, but I am adding more to them to create a new design that I like now. I feel like reusing some design choices helps with efficiency, but I try not to copy things directly so I can continue to learn.
I think the biggest struggle for me this week was working with the FTP client. It is a different client than I am used to, but I think I like the WinSCP one better. Still, it took a bit to remember what the heck I was doing. Once I finally figured it out, I felt like the rest of the week was smooth sailing. Other than that, I feel like I had a pretty good two weeks, and I’m excited for more.
