Getting Through The Challenges

It has been an interesting process going through these past few works. The challenges had two parts. One part for each week. These challenges were the most different from the other ones we have had to do. Instead of having the coding of the layout given to us. We had to make and mimic a picture of a layout as best as we could. Although it was a small important portion of the challenge, I did leave off focus on the font, font-size, and color correctly to instead focus more attention on getting the layout correctly. I felt that the overall goal of the challenge was that portion of it anyway. What I did not know was that you could use photoshop to be able to get the fonts and colors as such. I used Adobe color to extract the colors. It did not get the colors right, but it gave me a boost on getting started. What was also different in these challenges was not only did we have to create the layout from scratch, but also code it in a mobile first approach. It is an interesting concept but after doing it this way, it makes sense on why people would go for this type of approach first. It makes it seem more simpler then you can work around the smaller things overtime as you code for the responsive design portions as the screen grows bigger. I did struggle overall with the challenges. It seems like I have had improvement overtime however compared to the other challenges in the past. The solutions have been really helpful in learning how either specific codes work, or even learning a different process/approach on tackling these challenges. Overall, as hard as it is for me all of this is still a valuable learning experience going through these challenges.
