These last two weeks have been very challenging for me. While I am learning that there is so much variety in creating a webpage layout, making images and text go into specific boxes, or arrangements.
The wow factor for me is great until I try it on an assignment, and it doesn’t work. I ask myself, “What am I not getting?” I make the divs, create id’s for them, go into CSS, apply the code, then it all goes to s_ _ _. You fill in the blank. I just viewed a YouTube video on flex box that I’ll be trying out. When it comes to learning floats, flex box, grid, absolute vs relative values, I feel like I’m on a kiddie floaty in the ocean. It appears insurmountable. Then there are media queries. I like this as I continue on this adventure. There are things media queries can do in my web designs, that I plan on taking advantage of, like responsive backgrounds. For now I can accept the fact that while I’m learning new things and getting to practice with them, I need a lot more basic practice.
