The past couple of weeks have been really busy. I guess mid-semester always is at least a bit overwhelming.
Although it felt like we’ve had a lot to do, I enjoyed the layout challenges because it’s so cool when we get it right! Haha Grid has been the most challenging, of course, because it’s entirely new for me. But I think it’s promising, and I am already excited to use some of the area properties.
The discussion on levels of web design was interesting, and it made me reflect on the design process and its influence on the final design. We are getting a chance to practice level 2 of web design if we decide to code our midterm wireframe/prototype (what’s the actual name for what we are designing? It’s more polished/finished than a wireframe, but it’s not a prototype. What is it called then? Mockup?).
We are designing for mobile and tablet in our midterm project as well. Which tells me we’ll be discussing responsive web design soon, wheee
