Does everybody feel like this semester is moving along pretty fast? It’s been a month since it started already…
This week it felt like there was a lot to do. Probably because I spent a ton of time styling the portal page and the markup we completed last week. I had a lot of fun with it though! I learned a bit about positioning in CSS last semester but hadn’t had a chance to put it in practice, so it was cool to try it out on those pages. I actually can’t believe it took me so long to learn about how much easier it can be to position elements by using position absolute and relative. It was almost as revolutionary as when I learned that I could use flexbox instead of floats.
It was also good to review some typography fundamentals and remember how big its role is in web design.
