We have entered the realm of building our own custom themes using PHP, CSS, and HTML – Oh My! The prospect of building a custom theme feels overwhelming, but I am trying not to let it get the better of me.
For my final project, I’ve elected to do a magazine-style news website based around The Walking Dead.
I am excited to integrate the custom post types discussed in class last week, as the feature has opened up my mind to new ideas of how WordPress can be used. I’m now even actively considering switching my personal WordPress.com-based site over to a WordPress.org-based site, simply because I would love to use the plugins we messed around with.
I am most excited for the content creation of the site, as I love working with WordPress once it is up and running. The backend? Not so much.
