The past couple weeks we covered databases to give us some insight into how WordPress works. For that, we went through the four phases of CRUD – Creating, reading, Updating, and Deleting databases.
CRUD, to me, looked a little like javascript. There were if-else statements and calling functions.
I thought it was very interesting. Creating databases is kind of fun; its also very practical. Every company/business has databases. WordPress, as we know, have databases, in which the information is being called up to display.
We saw how to update information and have that updated information recalled. Finally, we made it possible to delete information.
I feel like it was easy to understand the concept of CRUD. I don’t think I could remember the coding to do it myself. I do, however, think I can read what each part is doing and where mistakes could be. I looked over mine because it failed to work a few times, that I read it through a lot!
