We have been learning so much in this class! Since week three when I last wrote on this blog, we did some more practicing with the installation of WordPress and we had a guest speaker, Tirzah!!
The presentation Tirzah gave us was packed with a lot of information, it was awesome! It’s always exciting to get exposed to things you previously had no idea about… Especially when somebody who is an expert is kind enough to give some guidance and teach a little bit about it.
Aside from Tirzah’s talk we also finished two sites that we were working on. The cafe site and the private event site. Working on the private event site was an opportunity to learn about a few different plugins. It was really cool to learn about how plugins can completely change and add functionality to a site.
We are now getting ready to move on to more complex tasks and start to learn php… I am excited! (Let’s see how long my excitement is gonna last… I probably have no idea how hard it’s gonna be haha). We’ll also have a midterm test: restore the backup of a WordPress site in less than 10min. I’ll be definitely practicing this weekend.
