Welcome To The Learning Journal

Every other week, you will have an assignment to write a post outlining and focusing on what you learned this week, related to this class. Be open to including all kinds of learning in your posts.

You may have learned something technical, or you may have learned about a best practice. Maybe you researched something to get a better handle on the best way to solve a problem. It is also possible that you have something going on in another design class that makes you think about a connection to web design. Or you may be taking a class outside of design classes, perhaps a psychology class – connections can be found all over the place.

Writing your blog post is an opportunity for you to evaluate what you are doing. To be reflective and be accountable to yourself for your own progress. I am here to support you and help you through the process, but ultimately, this is your class!

These posts can include images or videos, if appropriate, but I am really interested in what you have to say about what you are learning.

  1. I’m really looking forward to this to this semester and getting to know my class mates. I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. =) Hopefully this will be a great last semester and I can make some lasting friendships over the next few months.

I hope to learn more about HTML and CSS this semester and really get a better grasp of the language. It’s been several months since I took the beginning web design class at AI so I feel like I need a refresher.

  2. I have been looking forward to this class since before the end of Fall semester! Already, I have learned new information just on the first day of class. I’m very much looking forward to actually mastering these skills and becoming more confident. I appreciated the conversation about real world employment and the current industry too!
