Before flexbox, adjusting every little part of the layout took forever. Making text sections or separators line up properly always felt tedious and repetitive. Then flexbox came along.
I still remember one of my first web design projects at Sierra. Adjusting the CSS took me forever, especially since I hadn’t been taught any other way to control positioning. The project was an About Me page, and working on it felt like walking into a maze. None of my CSS was easy to read or fix, and it left me really frustrated. I’ve since gotten a lot better at organization, but after a while of editing, my CSS would still get messy as I kept redoing sections. Now that we’ve started working with flexbox and positioning more, changes are much simpler.
Even though I’m still not the best with flexbox, it has simplified what once felt like a mess of CSS.
