Coming back, there are some new challenges, methods, and material that has been covered over the past couple of weeks. Though slightly challenging and tedious, much of the work has been enjoyable and valuable in my learning.
For the purpose of this week’s learning journal, I wanted to focus on responsive design and our challenges in class. CSS is MUCH harder than it looks! Though there is a great deal of flexibility in how different methods can be used to achieve the same result, putting knowledge into practice never comes easy.
The Sac Writer’s and Zen Music Festival challenges proved this to be true. Although they are difficult and still in progress, I think I gained some interesting bits of insight on how CSS rules can be used to serve purpose beyond their immediate use. For example, the red, left-hand borders in the Sac Writer’s remind me of bullet points, which in turn, inspire me to experiment with CSS further!
That is about all I have for now. Looking forward to learning more!
