Midterm: Sorted. Midpoint: Reached. Now, I need to figure out how to keep myself occupied for the next two weeks.
I really enjoyed creating my midterm project. The topic I pulled was for a movie, so I decided to create a microsite for the upcoming Minecraft Movie as such a site was never created. I didn’t find it too challenging, but it did feel like the perfect amount of work to practice my Figma skills. I suppose difficulty, or lack thereof, can show me how far I’ve grown as a designer. Now, I’m starting to think about how I want my final project to look.
Compared to earlier semesters, I feel like this semester has been a breeze. Having only 3 classes, all online, each with a minimal workload is certainly helpful. I’m happy that I’ve had the opportunity to really learn some new skills this year, rather than being stressed out of my mind and playing catchup on a huge backlog of missed assignments. I’m looking forward to closing out the rest of the semester strong!
Short post this week. I don’t have much to say; its been a good eight weeks and it’ll be another good nine. With this journal entry out of the way, I’m looking at my Canvas dashboard and noticing that my next assignment isn’t due until April 4. I think the next challenge will be figuring out how to keep myself entertained until then. Perhaps Minecraft will remain a relevant topic for me…
If your head should be filled with endless whispers, vanquish them remarkably.
Cheers, and happy coding,
Alex
