Flexbox, Floats, and Responsive Design

Over the last couple of weeks, we practiced using Flexbox and Floats to make the Concentric website. We also had an introduction to responsive design and will submit our midterm design.

For the Concentric site, we used slides and snippets to create a website and pages. We formatted the site using floats, and then practiced doing the same with flexbox. I had a difficult time understanding why certain things were working to achieve the desired look, but it was helpful to practice using multiple methods to get to the same outcome.

I really enjoyed learning about how responsive design works. The rules of when the site would change format made sense to me, and I felt encouraged to be able to grasp the concept pretty well. I am a little overwhelmed when it comes to figuring out how to combine flexbox and responsive design but with more time it should make more sense.

We are also finishing up our midterm design. I enjoyed this project and it was fun going through iterations to figure out what works. It was also nice to practice designing for different types of screen formats.
