The last couple weeks have been great practice and review on HTML, CSS, using FTP transfer, and linking other sites. We also reviewed some typography principles and articles.
I started the semester off feeling very rusty since I hadn’t practiced since last spring. The last couple weeks have been really nice to review what I learned last spring. I created my portal page and transferred some old writing into a webpage. Then, I styled the pages using CSS. I practiced using fonts and colors and using selectors.
Then, I practiced using filezilla to upload my files. I was also to able to link another site easily. Last semester I had had a hard time with that but I guess it sank in over the summer, and it felt straightforward this time.
Lastly, it was nice reviewing typography articles of rules of type and when to break them. We reflected on how much type impacts tone, volume, and aesthetics and it was a good reminder, and nice to have some more resources on hand.
