I took Introduction to Web Design last semester and through winter break I had already forgotten about how a few HTML tags are supposed to work. However, within the first few weeks of this class a couple of my peers, as well as the assignments, were able to remind me how things work again.
The Future Resume assignment was a good refresher in seeing how much information I’ve retained. The main mistake I made was with the <ul> and <li> tags. I had forgotten that these tags are supposed to work together, rather than being their own separate thing.
I had also learned about a few new HTML tags that I was not aware of at the time when reviewing some of my peer’s website assignments. Some served a broad range of uses and some were a bit more niche in their uses.
Working through this class, I hope to learn about more tags that I can use in the future, as well as having a better understanding on which tags to use when there are multiple options available to me.
