Clubs and Registries

American Kennel Club

The American Kennel Club (AKC) is the premier registry for pure bred dogs. The AKC is also a one stop shop for all things dog. While you are there don’t forget to search performance sports, AKCs PAL program, training, health, and their public education pages. You can even register your mixed breed to be able to compete at dog sport events.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club Of America

The SBTCA is the National Parent Club for the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of America. The site is chock full of information about the lively and energetic companion dog. From health to education to attending an event or finding a breeder this is your go to place. Every club has a code of ethics and breeder directory.

Bull Terrier Cub of America

The BTCA is the National Parent Club for the Bull Terrier Club of America. The site is also full of information about the clownish and strong willed companion dog. The Bull Terrier is not a breed for a beginner. It is important to meet the parents in person and speak to breeder about the unique temperament and if it is something you can live with.

All About the Stafford

Staffords in America Debates

This is a great Facebook debate group with very experienced owners and breeders. This Debate Group is welcome to all levels of experience and encourages healthy discussion on even tough topics. People are welcome to lurk, start topics and give input. There is no topic to tough for this group.

SBT Pedigree Database

This Database has picutre pedigrees of almost all Staffords. You can enter your dog and locate all relatives and can go back many generations. You can look up any dog with it's registered name. There is not a breeder in Staffords who does not know about and use this great resource.

The Stafford Mall

This historical site is a valuable resource of information on the history of the Staffords in the U.S. and the founding members and documents for the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of America. This site is old but worth a visit to check it out. *The Stafford Mall does not work on mobile.

Educational

MadCap University

I love this site. It should be required for all new puppy owners. Madcap University provides the best educational video lectures and courses to help you navigate bringing a new puppy home. Jane Messineo Lindquist, a Puppy Culture discovered there was a real support need for people bringing puppies home.

Pure Dog Talk

This podcast has more than 500 episodes at last count! Pure Dog Talk This podcast covers all topics in the dog fancy. Even if you do not have a show dog or compete in confirmation the the expert advice and experience from health to breeding and more is second to none.

Drinking from the Toilet

This Podcast is a hilarious behind-the-scenes look into the reality of dog training, behavior, and learning. This is a great podcast for beginners to experienced trainers. With a heavy dose of humor and a side of empathy, we keep it nerdy, relatable, and real.
