About Aqua
How I Found Aqua
After we had Bradley for about two weeks, my mom and I decided he needed a friend. It is also better to raise two kittens togther so they can entertain each other. My mom was being picky about what kind of cat she wanted and said the kitten had to have blue eyes, be orange, or be a calico. My mom and I were on vacation and decided we would look for a kitten from a shelter when we got back. One day I was looking through my instagram feed and saw that one of the girls I went to highschool with had to give away her kitten. It happened to be a Seal Point Siamese with blue eyes and was about the same age as Bradley. Just what we were looking for. I sent her a message asking if the cat still needed a home and luckily she did. I showed my mom a picture and we knew we were going to bring her home. The day after we got back from vacation I picked her up and she was the cutest little thing. It took a week or two for her and Bradley to get along but now they are best friends.
How Aqua Got Her Name
When I picked her up from the girls house she had already had been given the name Aqua. I deceded to keep it because she has big bight blue eyes, and I'v never seen or heard of an animal/pet with that name before. A unique name for a unique little kitten that ended up fitting her very well.
Aqua's Personality
Auqa has a very sassy personality because her tail in constantly swishing back and forth, almost like she is wagging her tail like a dog but not as fast. She doesn't like to be held but she does like to be petted on her own terms. She normally follows me all over the house and wants to be where I'm at. Especially when I go into the restroom because she likes to drink the running water from the faucet and likes to play in it as well. She has funny little quirks that I'v never seen a cat do. She scrathes at the ground everytime before she takes a drink of water, and when she is needing on the blanket she likes to hold the blanket in her mouth. It is so cute and funny. She also loves to be outside to chase all the differnt birds, she ended up catching one a few days ago and was chasing it throughout the house and got feathers everywhere. The bird had a little scratch but my mom was able to catch it and release it back outside.
Origin Of the Seal Point Snowshoe Siamese Cat Breed
This breed is a mix of a Seal Point Siamese and a Snowshoe cat. She has all the same colors as the Seal Point but her little white feet is the characteristic of the Snowshoe breed. I was looking up the history of these breeds and I found out the Snowshoe breed originated in the US in Philadelphia in the 1960's. A cat just happened to have a littler of siamese kittens with white feet and the owner decided to breed them to keep that line of genetics. The origin of the Seal Point Siamese dates back to the 1700's and was thought to have come from Thailand. They are also thought to be one of the oldest Asian Cat breeds.
