Art Deco Book Cover

Mission

The Redesign of this book cover was to redesign the visual appeal and make it stand out with using more art deco elements to attarct older and younger audience, espeaclly the ones who are fans in art deco styles.

Client

Art Deco Fashion Masterpieces of Art” is a book written by Gordon Kerr, which highlights illustrations of fashion during the Art Deco era, back in the 1910s. Throughout the book, it shows the introduction of the Art Deco movement and how it influenced fashion, and how it created masterpieces.

Vibe

As research, I came upon the book “Art Deco Fashion Masterpieces of Art” by Gordon Kerr. I chose this book and decided to redesign it in a bit of an Art Deco style. For this class assignment, I only had to design a front cover, but later decided to finish the whole book cover, and added the back side and the spine of the book.

Context

TThis project was started in my AAD 52: Publication Design I during the Spring 2025 semester. The goal of the assignment was to create a book cover of our choice in an Art Deco style.
