Health

Our promotores aim to educate Latino families on issues of physical and mental health, as well as assist communities in gaining needed medical help. For nearly a decade, the Latino Leadership Council has partnered with the Placer County Community Health Department in providing health screening services for Latinos in Lincoln and Roseville. These health fairs give Spanish language services to hundreds of uninsured adults.

Education

For families needing access to school resources, our promotores can assist in navigating the school system. We aim to help families improve communication with school faculty and administration as well as help provide the support and resources our children need.

Juvenile Justice

The LLC has programs designed to specifically address social issues and disparities faced by Latino youth. We participate in the Parent Project, providing our community with the Parent Project curriculum in Spanish, the first of its kind in Placer County. This parent-training program aims to help families with youth facing growing gang issues.
