Jackson Avery was originally named "Jack" because he runs as fast as a jack rabbit. His momanger Brittany did not like the simplicity of the name, so she gave him a full name of "Jackson" after the character "Jackson Avery" on the show Grey's Anatomy, and "Jaxson Teller" from the show "Sons of Anarchy."

Jackson Avery does not like being away from his momanger. She could be running errands or in class, he does not react well. Brittany's room looks similar to a tornado wreckage. Jackson Avery throws his food and water bowl over and drags his blankies out of the dog bed in defiance.

As a Chihuahua-Terrier mix, Jackson Avery weighs about 15 pounds. Though he is a smaller dog, he believes himself to be a giant beast. Jackson Avery lives with a Pitbull named, Al Capone, whom weighs about 75 pounds of muscle. That does not intimidate Jackson Avery from acting like an Alpha.

Jackson Avery is quite a character. He sleeps under the covers on his back, and sometimes uses both blankie and Brittany's pillow for naps. He does not like scary movies. He does not tolerate household shenanigans. His best friends are Ducky, Barry, and New Ducky. He hates car trips and spa days.
