Meet The Founder
by Amy Walker
Amy Walker is a self-described 'Wellness Follower' and dieting enthusiast. She has been an avid follower of the ketogenic diet for over 4 years, and she feels it has benefitted her tremendously. As an occupation, she is a fitness coach and nutritional consultant. She lives with her husband, Shaun, and two toy poodles, Max and Jam.
Amy started her life out like most of us. She grew up in her hometown, found a spouse, and settled down. Unfortunately, she gained some weight along the way. A LOT. She looked at herself one day and decided enough was enough. Amy loved eating fatty foods like meat and cheese so she felt she would struggle with dieting. After a coworker recommended the keto diet for her, she did some research online and liked its prospects. Four years later and Amy has lost 30 pounds, thanks to her adherence to the keto diet and frequent exercise. She now runs this site to help others who are in the same boat she used to be in.

Beating the Body at its Own Game
by Steve Brown
The keto diet is a bit like cheating. Sometimes the body needs to be tricked to get the results we want. Cutting out carbs forces the body to burn fat as fuel instead of burning the glucose from carbohydrates. It is a bit like telling a little white lie, we tell it with the assumption that things will turn out for the better. Here are some other ways to "trick" your body to lose weight. Drink more water, ice water, specifically. When drinking ice-cold water, your body first needs to heat it up before processing it. This way your body burns juuuuust a bit more calories to do what it needs. {read more}
