Welcome to my course project portal page.
The following projects have been created as a way to explore front-end Web design and development.
Main course projects:
-
My First Page
While working on the “My First Page” project we were introduced to coding in HTML. While we were working on this project we learned about file management and the Dreamweaver interface, how to format and indent code, about headings and lists and how to insert/display images. We also got a brief introduction to CSS.
-
Squint Studio Build-Along
The “Squint Studio Build-Along” is our second website that we are working on at this time. It is a more in-depth website that we have worked on so far. We learned about new elements, attributes and selectors. We learned how to work with CSS stylesheets. It helped us to create a more elaborate website using different styles like alignment, shadows, padding, etc. While working on this project we’ve learned about image optimization, SEO optimization, accessibility and industry standards and different design techniques.

During this project we were introduced to site planning with wireframes and prototypes, learned more about UI, UX, and UC design goals and elements and their impact on site planning and development, wireframes and prototyping, HTML5 block/grouping and headline hierarchy, Figma and Adobe XD, placeholder images and text, "alt attribute" for accessibility, sourcing and citing stock assets in our code, visual asset optimization for the web and screens, worked with background graphics and images, metadata and Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and learned about how to create a Favicon for our website.
