Welcome to my course project directory!
The following projects have been created as a way to explore front-end Web design and development.
Main course projects
-
My First Page
As my very first page, this project served as an introduction to DreamWeaver, HTML, and internal CSS. I learned how to use headers, insert links to images, and style text using CSS and HTML tags like <em>. I also learned how to code ordered and unordered lists in HTML.

Squint Studio Build-Along
The Squint Studio Build-Along Site is a several weeks long project meant to push students further into the world of HTML and CSS. Following a guided tutorial, I'm building a website for Squint Photography Studio which includes a Homepage, a Portfolio page, and an About Us page. We have delved into the world of external CSS, using selectors to apply customizations to the text and layout of the site. We are also applying concepts for accessibility on the web by creating accessible links and adding alt text to our images.

Final Site: The Highway 49 Jug
The Highway 49 Jug website is a demonstration of what I have learned about HTML and CSS throughout the Introduction to Web Design course at Sierra College. It is also an extension of my "subversive signage" project done for another class. To build this site, I created an HTML outline and wireframe, sourced images for free use with proper attribution, and independently wrote the final HTML and CSS without a formal guide, unlike the Squint Studio Build-Along.
