Being safe when handling lye
Lye is extremely dangerous when not handled corretly. First you need to buy the proper gear to protect your eyes and skin. This includes gloves that cover your hands up to your elbows and goggles to porotect your eyes. When you go to add the lye to your water, do not pour the water into the lye this will cause a back splash that could harm you. Always have a bowl of vinegar near by as it will neutralize the lye. Do not use water it will activate the lye.
