Reliving the annual Taylor family Halloween parties

What a time we had!

Activities

The first party was fairly small and low-key, in keeping with the ages of the guests. a few years later I had hopes of creating a carnival atmosphere and we had a fishing booth, dart throwing at balloons, and even a few holes of mini-golf. We tried apple-bobbing one year but quickly abandoned that. Donut-bobbing was dryer, but set off the Great Manhunt--see Childrens' Politics.

As the kids got older we realized they didn't need or want structured activities. They just wanted to create their own games, running around the wooded property and holding councils of war. Only the pursuit of food interrupted their games.
