Capturing the natural angles

My Projects

I've helped with multiple film projects in my experience, here are my most successful ones!

Stood Up

Written and directed by Jesee Beyer-Garcia

In this struggle of reality and subconscious, Jaime sits at a coffee shop, waiting for her date to show, only to be greeted by someone from her haunted past. It's up to her to get a grip on what's real, and what's in her head.

Equipment and Set up

I normally will use Canon DSLR cameras, standard audio equipment including a shotgun microphone (the mic that normally gets held above the scene by someone standing off to the side), digital recorders, lavaleer shirt mics, even a smart phone can be used as an effective audio recorder!

For cameras, I use DSLR cameras, by Canon. With these smaller cameras, I'm able to get into tight spaces, get closer to the subject, as well as move around more due to the camera's smaller size, all while still being able to capture that picture perfect quality and resolution!

When it comes to sound, you can never go wrong with any brand of shotgun or boom microphones. Most of the mics even come with adapters, allowing me to put the microphones on the cameras, allowing me to capture neccessary sounds and dialogue in tighter spaces without having to worry about bringing along another person or stand to hold the pole that would suspend the microphone!

In one of my projects, Stood Up, one of our scenes took place in a bathroom, and in order to reduce the noise bouncing off the walls, I strategically set up towels around the bathroom. Any fabric materials would work as well, like blankets, beach towels, rags, even clothes. This is to help with the accoustics in tight rooms.
