Albums

With so much Vaporwave content on the internet, it's hard to find a good place to start. Here are my recomendations.

Featured

the album cover for 100 Mornings, featuring a stylized mountain

Windows 95 - One Hundred Mornings

This album is my personal recommendation for an introduction to vaporwave. One Hundred Mornings presents a range of emotions without ever dropping the chilled-out vibe. It also makes for great background music.

the album cover for dream sequins, featuring a woman's profile

Nmesh - Dream Sequins

Experimental and diverse, this album is a great example of what Vaporwave has to offer. Quite untraditional in a musical sense, Dream Sequins is a strange, meditative, and wholly original experience unlike any other album.

the album cover for North Point Mall, featuring palm trees

VHS Dreams - North Point Mall

This album falls into the Vaporwave subgenre Mallsoft, which attempts to create the feeling and ambience of being in a retro mall. It’s this subgenre where Vaporwave's satirical take on consumerism is most direct, but we don't have time to unpack all that.

the album cover for floralShoppe, featuring a marble statue

Macintosh Plus - Floral Shoppe

One of the most iconic Vaporwave Albums (or at least album covers) of all time, Macintosh Plus set the standard for vaporwave aesthetics with Floral Shoppe. While it's not the most incredible musically, it's still an important peice of Vaporwave history.
