I want to continue practicing each new skill or tool and become as proficient as possible. But then we are on to the next one.

I am certainly not complaining. I feel very grateful and accomplished for the opportunity to learn something like this. I especially like the idea of the parallax effect and plan to continue to practice and find ways to implement that.

I know I am improving, and here is why. I looked at a website today that I made previously. At the time I designed it, I was very proud of it and thought it looked great. However, when I looked at it today for the first time in a while, I was much less impressed. It seemed boring and bland, and I immediately started thinking about things to change or ways to redesign altogether, with some of the concepts we learned about in mind.

It reminded me of when I first started in photography. I was once so proud of some of the early images I took. Only later, as I improved, did I realize how far I had come when I looked at the images with a more critical eye and improved skillset, and realized how bad they were.

I hope to be so lucky in the future as to continue to improve in both these areas enough to look back at where I am now in the same why and appreciate how much further I have come.

At times the material in this class feels like a waterfall.
