My favorite things these past few weeks were working on the portal page and my own content!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
The portal page was a nice first kind of “free reigns” project to work on. I enjoyed getting to style it all on my own, which worked as a refresher for some of the styling I hadn’t used in quite some time. The assignment to style our own content was fun as well! I chose to turn a slideshow presentation I had created on lotus flowers into a multipage website. I really loved doing the basic HTML and styling for the website, so much so it took much longer to complete than it should have. It was fun to return to one of my websites of choice, Google Fonts, to import fonts I thought looked nice on my websites. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
What I struggled with a bit was not including any layout CSS, as the assignment descriptions said to simply focus on color, font, and spacing. Layout is so important to me and almost makes it difficult to imagine a website’s design without these elements (weight, margin, etc). Once we do add these elements, I’ll feel much better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Overall this week was so fun in how creative I got to be. I truly love working with HTML and CSS, and always forgot until I get the chance to do so. I look forward to learning more!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
