There were some topics not covered in class, such as the ‘position: sticky;’ property-value pair in CSS. The article also went more in-depth on Flexbox, explaining some properties like “flex-direction” and the “flex-grow,” “flex-shrink,” and “flex-basis.” Furthermore, the author introduced the Grid Layout method of aligning content, for Flexbox is good for laying content on an axis, but not a grid, so this is where the Grid comes into play. For anyone interested in learning more about Grid Layout, the author recommends “Grid by Example,” and “Using CSS Grid: Supporting Browsers Without Grid.”

In addition to our assigned reading, we worked on the 9 Flexbox challenges for homework. The homework introduced properties such as “justify-content,” “flex-wrap,” and the pseudo-class “:nth-child.”

Practice, practice, practice . . . all products of quality are cultivated through time and practice.
