It&#8217;s interesting how much easier it makes formatting, while at the same time it can be very very frustrating.  There is one thing that I have experienced and agree on: the more properties you affect, the more complicated\/confusing it can be, especially if something is not working.  I believe I need to pay closer attention to the &#8220;parent-child&#8221; relationship when using flex.
