Usually, its just me being over zealous. Nevertheless, when it comes to using block elements and making a page that&#8217;s pretty and organized, utilizing floats and flexbox creates a panic-less me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>One of the first websites we were allowed to do on our own with Natalie, I had this design where there would be nine boxes &#8211; half photographs, and the others for text. It was not a fun ride at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, as life would have it, Natalie showed us flexbox for our last website and it was exactly like learning Jquery after typing a load of Javascript! It completely opened my eyes to how I could probably do so many different types of designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we saw this week with the Coffee Shop site, sure you could use floating&#8230; but why!? Flexbox took two seconds, leaving a lot more time to be working on other stuff (if this were a job). Seeing each technique compared and contrasted really helps understand that there are many paths to take you where you ultimately want to go, but getting to that place, doesn&#8217;t have to be an elongated maze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its learning techniques like this that make me more confident in what I&#8217;m doing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a designer, I really like to think outside the box and do stuff that no one else is willing to try, or just haven&#8217;t yet.
