His statement was an example of politicians who have the power to make important decisions about our current means of communication yet fail to understand it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The metaphor is not the perfect illustration of what the Internet&#8217;s architecture looks like, but what might be a better comparison?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>I would describe the Internet as a series of folders. When you handle physical documents, an order and organization method should be followed: one sheet of paper sits in a folder, stored in a large cabinet with other folders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This week we practiced using FTP to upload sites to the Web. The process involves taking a root folder and its content with any HTML, CSS, and image files then transferring them to a host site that&#8217;s accessible to anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Is this a good analogy?
