Welcome Adventurers!
Introduction to Despair...
What have you gotten yourself into this time?
Who would ever choose this vile place? It's nothing more than dust and dark and the air is thick and foreboding… Despair's Door is a desolate landing place for all comers. There are no real limits or restrictions on what what or who you can get if you have enough influence or coin. A fringe town on the edge of the civilized world, blending those offering shady wares to those that pretend to be prim and proper in society's eyes, yet have cravings and habits that must be fed... This is the place to find whatever it is that the heart desires. One need to but be brave enough to ask and their most vile predilections, wants and desires for unseemly and unspeakable acts, evil items and indulgences, all those things shunned by "proper society’s" standards can be fulfilled... for a price of course. What are you willing to pay to get everything you've ever wanted?

Background of the Town...
Might, Money and Knowledge Will Get You Far Here.
The town is a haven to criminals of all sorts – simple minded hooligans to cold blooded murderers. The inhabitants are a melting pot of races from common humans and dwarves to most rare of creatures, alive, dead and even other-worldly. Don't assume there is no order or law here, as there is a governing council - an insidious collective that includes a sociopathic warlord, a shady merchant, a narcissistic mage and a sordid priest. This troupe of degenerates decide what’s acceptable behavior and what’s viewed as acts against “the people,” punishable by fine, slavery, death or worse. Sounds like a place to avoid like the plague, right? Well, whether you landed here seeking escape, refuge, fame, fortune, or just an opportunity for self-discovery, this cruel place where anything goes is now home. Perhaps with a little effort and determination you'll survive and make a living here or better yet, with some effort and cunning, you might become something or someone, acquiring the skills and abilities to become one of the elite, maybe even earn a seat on the council. Choose your path and carve your future from this place or die trying…
