STORY
Ambition
From the age of 8 I've always been interested in the ability to freeze a moment and ponder over it. I can recall late nights of sneaking out of my bed to adore every familial memory I was too young (or nonexistent) to experience.
Since those youthful moments of exploration capturing my own moments has been a vital part of my purpose, keeping me on task to create a backlog of images that I can look back on in my old age to act as little memory portals. My eyes seem to long for balance in the linework of my life and capturing those snippets feels like catching lightning in a bottle.
I hope that these images not only cause a strike of feeling in some sense but also entice you to pick up a camera and begin capturing your own time.
Transformation
The moment one begins absorbing art as a form of information is similar to finally opening ones eyes in a world they've already experienced but haven't fully percieved. The analogy I find closest to explaining the feeling is discovering that puzzle piece that finally fits.
As this mess of a mystery lies in front of you, the only way to find the right piece is to pick one up and start pushing it into some slots. I look back at my life before my interest in the arts and it feels as if I was just taking in life and not putting life back out. Photography has become my output.
Goal
I hope to entice the world in finding their own explorative side. No more dipping toes in the pool, we are aiming for full submergence.
I aim to turn every little walk to the mailbox into a scout for symmetry or an anamoly in natural balance! Something that lures your eyes, yet instead of carrying on with your task, take a moment and give that visual distraction a second glance...and hopefully a snapshot.
Donation
All of these adventures are made possible from my own personal finances, but my goal is to be self sustained in my craft and that's where you can assist. When someone becomes a funder they are added to a newsletter which I keep my beloved supporters up to date on ventures and anything else in my life I view as being prevalent for you all.
Where does it go?
Every penny will be put to purchasing the most cost efficient equipment to continue my treks around this vile little ball. I will not rip off a living organism who is generous enough to fund a fool for frollicking around with film.
