Cody Ferreira
Cody James Ferreira was born July 15th, 1994 to Bob and Michelle Ferreira. Cody is the second born of five children.
Cody graduated from Del Oro High School in 2012 and decided to take some time to figure out what he wanted to study by taking classes at Sierra College. After 3 years at Sierra, he got an A.S. in Biological Science and moved to Reno to study at Nevada (much to the displeasure of Alysa). After two years, Cody lost interest in Biology and moved back down to California to regroup and started working at Target, where is currently working.
THE LIGHT SIDE
Alysa Joerger
Alysa Courtnie Joerger was born on July 11th, 1993 to Amanda Barnett and Steven Joerger. She is their only child.
She has lived in Rocklin her whole life. After graduating from Del Oro High School in 2011, she moved on to Sierra College, where she worked as an office assistant and tutor while pursuing multiple Associate degrees. After graduating, she began working for Levoy & Associates Insurance Agency, Inc., where she still works today.
AN ALLIANCE IS FORMED...
Cody and Alysa met at Del Oro High School in the fall of 2008, but remained distant acquaintances until fall of 2009. At that time, mutual friends brought them together. As you will see, friendship is at the heart of their relationship.
They got to know each other better while getting food before band practice. At his request, Cody got Alysa's phone number from her cousin Anthony. Although he tried to conceal his identity, he was quickly figured out.
Our bride and groom remained friends until another mutual friend, Cole, informed Alysa of Cody's feelings for her. Then, the two began to go on dates, leading up to the Homecoming dance on November 6th, 2010, when they officially began dating.
Since then, Alysa and Cody have maintained a close friendship. Throughout college and a long-distance relationship, even including a short break-up spat, they have endured many things together. They have grown up at each other's side, and they continue to support growth in one another.
