Week 6 – Responsive Design and the Addys Awards Gala

This week was about responsive design and the Addys Awards Gala.

On Tuesday, I learned about responsive design, specifically how to use CSS to make the content responsive to the user’s viewing device and how to use meta tag <meta name=”viewport” content=”width=device-width, initial-scale=1″>. Producing a very simple mobile layout helped me to understand the information better (and it was fun!). An extra credit, the CoffeeShop Mobile Assignment, was a great opportunity to practice making a website mobile friendly. At this point, I want to learn more about how to make a background image responsive and how to use a responsive image generator (https://www.responsivebreakpoints.com).

Thursday was a kind of special day to me – I was invited to the Addys Awards Gala. Even though I was volunteering, I still could enjoy the show. It was a great experience of seeing so many great advertisings, especially the students’ ones. Now, I know what direction to move on.
