Back in the days of Myspace, I spent countless hours squinting through lines and lines of code that I had no idea what half of them meant. It all looked really cool though. I wanted to change the background color, or perhaps the color of a button and the very specially chosen layout that I had copy and pasted into my profile. Slowly but surely I figured out what hex colors were and was able to make the tweaks to my profile that made it look just right. It was then (without even realizing) that I had written my first line of code.

Fast forward many many years later, while wondering through my late 20's trying to figure out "what I want to be when I grow up," I remembered that line of code. That set off a series of events that lead me here. A worldwide pandemic, a decision to go to a coding bootcamp in the midst of that pandemic, later getting a job at a startup doing Jr Dev work on many great websites, then deciding I want to learn even more, and coming back to school for my degree. It's been quite the journey. And even though I still have to occassionally Google "how to center a div," I've loved every second of it and look forward to wherever else the world of code takes me.
