Banana Bread

Banana bread is a type of cake made with mashed bananas. It's a moist, sweet cake like bread.

There are plenty of nutrients found in a banana. It contains many important nutrients such as Potassium, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Magnessium, Copper, Manganese, Protein, Fiber and Fat. Although, it has a fair amount of fiber and almost no fat. Bananas are very beneficial to one's health. It helps moderate blood sugar level, improve digestive health, aid in weight loss and great for heart health.

Ingredients needed:

baking flour, eggs,wooden spoon,spatula and honey jar
  • 8 tablespoon (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 medium, very ripe bananas
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Equipment needed:

  • 8in x 5in loaf pan
  • Parchment Paper or a cooking spray
  • Large bowl
  • A whisk,fork, stand mixer or handheld electric mixer
  • Spatula

Baking Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven at 350°F and while the oven is heating up prepare the baking pan. Line the pan with parchment paper or spray the with cooking spray. (if you are using nuts, toast them for about 10 minutes)
  2. Melt the butter in the microwave or on a low heat on the stovetop.
  3. Mix the melted butter and sugar in a large bowl and whisk until combined.
  4. Add in the eggs and whisk until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Whisk in the milk and vanilla.
  6. Using a fork, mash the bananas into the batter. Leave some banana lumps or don't, that's up to you.
  7. Mix in the flour, baking soda and salt. Using a spatula, gently stir the ingredients until no more dry flour is visible.
  8. Fold in the nuts or chocolate chips.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan,again using a spatula, smooth the top top of the mixture.
  10. Last but not the least, bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until it is golden brown and the fork or toothpick comes out clean.
