Welcome to my course project portal page!
The following projects have been created as a way to explore front-end Web design and development.
Main course projects
-
My First Page
This project was where I built my first site for the class, and was introduced to the Adobe Dreamweaver interface. We learned about file management, folder organization and structure, uploading files to an FTP server, the basics of HTML, and internal styling for CSS. This project gave us a sneak peak into web design for future projects and beyond.

Squint Studio Build-Along
This was a more robust six-week project where we learned and applied many new techniques and processes for building a website, including HTML, CSS, and web design concepts. We learned about HTML attributes, CSS properties and values, CSS rules, CSS selectors, three ways CSS files can be added to a document, absolute, document relative, and site root relative links, link states, and how to optimize images for the web.

Final Site: Ghibliverse
My final project was the ultimate test of knowledge from the last 16 weeks of class. We were tasked with building a website from scratch using the the new skills we've learned using HTML and CSS. I chose to do a fan page for Studio Ghibli because I'm a huge fan of the films and knew I'd have a lot of fun creating the site. I ended up creating over 10 separate .html pages and included over 100 images throughout the site to give more visual appeal. Through designing our wireframes and writing short code ahead of time, I was able to jump right into the project with confidence. I actually felt that the final was easier than the portal page because of this crucial part of the planning process. I hope you enjoy my site!
